For traditional mechanical and non-smart water, electricity, gas and other metering devices, utilities still use meter readers to read and record manually to complete the data collection and data loading to billing report output. The meter reading efficiency and cost calculation efficiency will directly affect the recovery efficiency of electricity, water and gas charges.
With Power Guard Mobile Meter Reading System (MRS), meter readers download meter reading task from the cloud system through HHU terminals. During the data collection process, the meter reading data will be automatically verified and sent back to the cloud system, and the abnormal data and events will be alarmed and processed in time. After the data collection is completed, the cloud system will automatically complete the cost calculation and send the bill by SMS and email to the customer and customers pay the bill payment through the online self-payment portal onsite or via any authorized offline POS 3rd payment channels. The whole process is completed under the supervision of the cloud system, which improves the efficiency and accuracy of data collection.

Infrastructure map

MRS can save a very detailed virtual map of the all traditional mechanical electricity, water and gas meters infrastructure components and their interconnections. These components include meters, transformers, distribution circuits, substations and the like. This map is used as a connectivity model to pass that information like total records, total readings, total unread and percentage complete and other notifications to their respective systems.

Electricity bill calculation and distribution

The bills can be sent via SMS and emails or the customers can log on to the web portals to check the bills.
